COVID- 19 Response

The safety and health of our guests, employees, and community is always our top priority. With that concern and caution in mind, Independence Center is CLOSED. We plan to reopen on April 24th in accordance with the stay at home order issued by Jackson County. Independence Center continues to be under 24/7 surveillance. We will continue posting updates on operations and all other news pertaining to Independence Center on our website and social media channels. please keep in touch with us via Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram. Is Independence Center canceling events?

Yes. Independence Center has made the decision to cancel or postpone all upcoming events with the exception of our Blood Drive with the Community Blood Center on 04/03. Our mall will continue to be open for the Walking program. Cancelled or postponed events include all Easter activities, our monthly Playdate and March’s Book Club.

Should guests wear medical masks if they visit Independence Center?

The CDC is currently only recommending wearing a mask if you are sick. However, we will permit guests to wear masks if they choose to wear them.
